But Ross wants to give it a try

Published: Friday, January 12, 2007Snowboarder Ross Rebagliati wants to give the Dakar Rally a try. "I ride dirtbikes and do some cross-country races. I just love the whole idea of trying to do something that big," said Rebagliati, who won gold at the 1998 Olympics. "I like the adventure of it and being on those big rally bikes." He also likes the fact the race changes routes every year, to eliminate booby-traps set by locals. You just don't see that on the slopes.
