Join Mayor Sam Sullivan at a special early evening celebration event to witness the official lighting of the Olympic and Paralympic flags at Vancouver City Hall. Following O Canada by a local youth choir, speeches and the lighting, there will be free hot chocolate for all. Daytona Party at the Shark Club in Vancouver

I will be the guest of honour at Bernie Ryan's 8th annual Daytona Party in Vancouver on March 11th benefiting the BC Children's Hospital. Here is all the information from Bernie:

The party is on Sunday, March the 11th, doors open at 12, things get officially started at 2. If you want a good seat, don't be late! Daytona Motorcycle races, old Westwood races, good times. Winter Classic - Jan. 26 & 27

I will be participating in the Winter Classic (a Whistler Blackcomb FOundation Charity Fundrasier) on January 26 & 27, 2007. I will be on the Pricewaterhouse Cooper LLP corporate team.

The event begins Friday, Jan. 26th with breakfast at the Westin follow by a day of snowboarding. Kokanee Apres is at 3 p.m at the Steeps Grills and then that night at 7:30 p.m. is the Winetastic event at the Westin.

Saturday is buffet breakfast at the westin. At 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. there is a Seven Group "Match-Your-Time" Race Classic on Whistler Mountain. At 6:30 p.m. is the "Cirque des Montagnes" Mountaintop Gala at the Roundhouse Lodge.
